John Hudson FRGS is a Survival Instructor, Broadcaster, Writer, Public Speaker and Training Consultant whose specialist work takes him to some of the most remote and extreme environments in the world. Based in Cornwall UK, John is the British military's chief SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance & Extraction) instructor and has been a resident survival expert on two series of Discovery's prime-time show 'Survive That', a.k.a 'Dude You're Screwed' in the USA, putting his own resilience to the test on camera in front of millions.

Having created the UK Military's survival manual, John is currently writing a book about self-reliance and positive psychology – exploring how wisdom gleaned in extremis can also be applied to everyday life – details of which will be announced soon.



John was a RAF helicopter pilot and is now the UK's chief SERE instructor. He specialises in writing, speaking and broadcasting about extreme survival training, adaptability and positive psychology. Read more about his work by clicking the link below:
